Work
These are all the websites I've worked on or continue to work on. Or both.
Three years ago I unwisely went with Joomla for a CMS platform for Bridge Community. I since have realized the error of my ways and migrated to WordPress. While Joomla should theoretically be a more "robust" CMS than WordPress since WordPress is technically a blogging platform, the flexibility of WordPress and it's vast superiority in the development community made it a pleasant stay at the beach compared to Joomla.
I migrated the hundreds of sermon posts into WordPress and after some cleanup the new site was up and running with much more functionality than our previous Joomla-based site.
Open note to Jooma: the exclamation mark after your name makes it no more exciting to work in your platform.
Magpie Designz originated on etsy.com but due to their relatively high costs the owner decided to move to her own site. After researching open source ecommerce platforms I went with Magento because of its ridiculous number of features and forward-thinking development. (Eh hem, OsCommerce... shame on you and your tables and lack of CSS.)
After getting the site designed to the specifications, I moved 100 some products from etsy into the new site.
It was a pleasure to work in Magento. It's my ecommerce platform of choice for numerous reasons. And more importantly, it has served the needs of the business owner nicely.
Nouveau Interiors LLC is a business owned by a friend and was a relatively quick set up in Joomla with some template changes and content addition. It has since gone a little stagnant since the business itself has gone stagnant but as they say, "them's the breaks."
